About this Event
Celebrated, scandalous, and unknown: meet some of the fascinating figures of Boston’s LGBTQ past on a walk led by docent and historian Robin Hazard Ray. We will visit the resting places of Senator Charles Sumner, actress Charlotte Cushman, poet Amy Lowell, and painter George Hawley Hallowell, among others, in recognition of Pride Month 2026.
On our walk, we will be joined by Queer History Boston, a community archives that has documented, preserved, and shared histories of Boston and New England’s LGBTQ+ communities since 1980.
