About this Event
Celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month by creating your own zine! A zine (short for magazine) is a small, self-published booklet using words, images, collage, and art materials. They are used and shared to amplify personal stories, creative expression and activism while building connection and community through documentation as a form of resistance.
This hands-on, beginner-friendly event will explore LGBTQ+ history, identity and community through zine-making. No matter your reason for attending, zines are a powerful way to share your voice, make friends and build community.
All materials will be provided, and no level of artistry is required. As long as you are curious and ready for creativity, join us to explore the world of zine-making. Whether you write, draw, cut, paste or colour, come and connect in a relaxing, affirming environment and leave with a zine you can keep to start your own collection.
Open to all residents!
