VOICED presents an exhibition marking LGBTQ+ History Month through the lens of emerging queer artists in London.
About this Event

This exhibition creates space for the contradictions of queer existence, embracing the moments of profound joy and the weight of survival.

Marking LGBTQ+ History Month, this work acknowledges that our joy cannot be untangled from our fight, that claiming space, expressing ourselves truthfully, and loving openly are also a form of resistance. The queer artists gathered here create a breathing archive from personal stories and shared histories, one that resists being silenced and asserts our right to be witnessed.

London's queer geography is layered with contradictions. The same streets that have witnessed violence and exclusion have also been sites of revolutionary joy, chosen family, and shared liberation. The exhibition embraces the fluidity of identity and place, refusing fixed boundaries in favor of the beautiful complexity of lived queer experience. The artists in this exhibition offer us multiple perspectives on what it means to exist, create, and thrive as LGBTQ+ individuals in today’s London.

As you move through this space, you will encounter works that honour queer resistance and transform dissonance into a catalyst for community building. You will hear from the young queer Londoners navigating their own journeys of self-discovery and activism. Each piece invites you to look closely, to find the love stories and heartbreak, the longing for meaning and the fierce claiming of belonging.

Rather than a static historical reflection, this exhibition activates queer presence in the now. We're showcasing artists whose work refuses to separate celebration from struggle, whose creative practice is itself an act of visibility and resistance.

By platforming diverse queer voices during LGBTQ+ History Month, we're not just marking the past, we're actively shaping queer futures and building the archives we deserve to see ourselves in.

Join us for an intimate celebration with the artists and the creators of this this project. Following the opening night, the exhibits will be available to view during the opening hours of the venue.

Free for artists, funded by the community.

We believe creatives shouldn't pay to showcase their work. Instead, we've built a model where donations directly pay artists and keep our space sustainable, giving creators an accessible platform over time. By donating, you directly support the local art scene and help us grow.
