Event Overview:
Come and learn about Twin Cities organizations and providers serving the Queer community, current disparities impacting Queer birthing families, and ways to provide informed, affirming support. This session will highlight local resources, explore barriers within healthcare systems, and encourage inclusive care practices for LGBTQ+ individuals and families.
Presenter Bio:
Kayla Kronfeld (she/her) is a Licensed Midwife (LM) and Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) supporting families within an hour radius of the Twin Cities metro. She began her career in birth work as a doula and prenatal yoga instructor while teaching middle school social studies. After leaving the classroom, Kayla attended Midwives College of Utah, where she graduated and passed the NARM exam to become a CPM and LM. She is currently studying at the Midwest School of Herbal Studies to become a Master Herbalist. Kayla is the founder and owner of Meadowlark Midwifery, LLC. Outside of birth work, she enjoys spending time at home with her partner and their mini-zoo of animals and plants.
