About this Event
Introducing LFS Study Hall, a deep-dive screening series grounded in criticism, analysis, history, and mythology—where we'll explore films not just as standalone works, but as cultural artifacts within a broader social, political, and historical context, a living record of their time. 🎞️📖
We’re kicking things off with 🎥Movies on Movies🎥: films that celebrate cinema and offer glimpses into filmmaking techniques and perspectives across decades, genres, and movements in film history.
Screening 8/8 follows a curious boy navigating a train station, discovering inventions, mystery, and cinematic magic, echoing our first night’s dive into silent-era classics.
LFS Study Hall: Movies on Movies runs for eight films on select Thursdays, February 19–May 28. Join us. 🫶
Programmed and presented by LFS Board Member Robert Ramirez. 🖤
