Have you recently moved to Waiheke and want to learn how to live more sustainably at home and connect with your community?Come down to the Waiheke Sustainability Centre for a fabulous summer evening soiree filled with delicious dishes, fun activities, and spot prizes, all designed to help you get to know your new home and what the island has to offer.
Love Food Hate Waste and Compost Collective will be there with stalls sharing simple, practical tips to help you make the most of your food, from smart storage and using leftovers creatively to composting your food scraps at home. You’ll be able to ask questions, pick up ideas you can use straight away, and connect with others who are learning to live more sustainably on the island and get involved in local community projects.
WRT’s delicious Kai team will provide nibbles made from rescued food through our Kai Conscious project. We kindly ask you to bring a dish or dessert to share for the potluck, and please label any potential allergens in your dish. You’re also welcome to BYO drinks or alcohol.
