Where is your (writing) community?

Being a writer can feel like a lonely experience. Feeling part of a creative community is important. In this workshop we will share work and learn about giving feedback and support to others. We will also write about communities that we belong to and want to give voice to. No experience necessary, everyone is welcome.

No experience in writing is required.

This is part of a series of six free workshops following Deptford Literature Festival 2024, which you are also welcome to book and attend.

Carinya Sharples is a writer and teacher living in southeast London. She is currently working on a PhD at the University of Leicester, exploring representations of mixedness in Guyanese literature. She is also working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) alongside her studies.
