About this Event
The capstone of the improv program at Stomping Ground Comedy Theater, students will build upon the knowledge and skills from previous levels as they do a deep dive on a specific improv format and the skills needed to perform it in a month-long run of shows on the SG mainstage. This course will also help students identify their improv habits and provide them personal challenges to break those habits. The prerequisite for this class is completion of Levels Two, Three, & Four Improv* at Stomping Ground.
*No advanced placement is available for this class for students with equivalent training from another theater or training center.
This course focuses on:
- Expanding Characters in La Ronde
- Using Entrances & Exits in Monoscene
- Creating Connecting Worlds in Close Quarters
- Additional Advanced Formats
- Individual Feedback for Performers
- Rehearsing and Performing the Show
This is a 7 week recurring in-person course held Tuesdays, 7-9:30pm starting Tuesday, March 4th. The instructor is John Gerhardt. All sales are final. Listed price of class does not include Eventbrite's service fee (3.7% + $1.79) and payment processing fee (2.9%) which will be added to the total price at checkout. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment may be deferred to a future class with TCD approval. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
