About this Event

Level 4 completes the learners journey of the full core vocabulary with additional vocabulary. Learners continue to improve and develop signing and symbol skills and how to use effectively day to day.

You will revise the signs and symbols learned in Level 1, 2 & 3 training, and learn the signs and symbols for Stages 7 and 8 of the Core Vocabulary.

Ideal for professionals, parents, family members, carers and workers who need to use Makaton at home and in their work enviroment.

participants who need a more detailed knowledge about using and applying Makaton to develop the communication skills of others

Sessions include discussing commonly asked questions, hints and tips for effective signing and symbol use and how to start using Makaton in everyday situations at home or work.

Duration

Level 4 training is made up of two modules delivered in 2 x 3 hour sessions on 6th & 13th May 25, 6-9pm. Particpants must be able to attend both sessions. Training is held online via Zoom, camera access required.

Entry criteria

Participants must hold their level 1, 2 & 3 Makaton certificates in order to undertake level 4.

Study materials

You will receive a Participant's Manual, which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop.

You will receive a certificate of attendance. Please remember to keep your Level 4 training certificate in case you want to attend further Makaton training.

In the event a participant cannot attend, a course tranfer will be offered onto the next available like for like workshop of the same level. Transfer workshops must be undertaken within 12 month of workshop payment date.
