About this Event

Delivered at West Suffolk College in partnership with the Adam Fidler Academy, the leading Business School for Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants and Business Support professionals.

Adam Fidler is one of the world’s most popular and sought after trainers of Executive Assistants offering a number of inspirational, tutor-led and endorsed programmes which, until now, have only been available in Manchester and London. The exciting new collaboration means that these courses will now be available in the Eastern region.

We believe in the value and worth of the Executive Assistant and that the Executive Assistant is an integral part of the management team – do you?

This course is perfect for individuals who wish to develop and extend their understanding of office and administration management and is ideal for PAs, EAs and Administration Managers who want to gain a more advanced formal qualification in this field, develop leadership and management skills, as well as build practical competence in the EA role.

Students are required to undertake the following units to achieve the qualification:

  • The Role of the Executive Assistant
  • Commercial and Business Awareness
  • Management Skills
  • Effective Administrative Management

Dates for delivery are as follows:

5 & 6 February 2026

25 & 27 March 2026

21 & 22 May 2026

15 & 16 July 2026

The qualification requires approximately 150 hours of self-study by students to succeed, over as short or as long a time as they wish. The actual amount of study will largely reflect the amount of practical experience the student has to complement their studies. We generally find that between 2-5 hours a week for students with relevant work experience will enable them to complete this course in about a year.

The qualification is assessed through four written assignments. Each unit is assessed by its own individual assignment (1,500-3,000 words) and this could be: a case study, report, project plan, work-based evidence, tasks, reflective statements or learning log.

There are no formal entry requirements. However, students should be able to work at Level 3 (A-Level) or above, and have good literacy and numeracy skills, with confidence in their writing ability. Entrants at Level 4 will normally be practicing PAs, EAs, secretaries and administrators, with several years’ solid experience in a business support role.

This qualification is on the Ofqual register and is awarded by SFJ Awards, through Adam Fidler Academy.

Learners will achieve a Level 4 Certificate in Office and Administration Management which is the equivalent to a Higher National Certificate or the first year of a degree.
