COVID-19 UPDATE: We have reduced the capacity for this training to ensure social distancing requirements. All participants MUST bring and wear a face covering. No exceptions. You must be registered to participate.Registration is available to those who have an access code. When you complete the secure online AAF volunteer application, you will receive an immediate confirmation email with the access code for this orientation. To get your access code, complete the volunteer application or contact us (see FAQs below).
The $5.00 (total with tax) orientation fee includes an official AAF volunteer name badge and AAF logo lanyard. Thank you for helping offset the costs of volunteer materials so that we can focus our funds on the care of the animals. There are no refunds for this $5 due to the costs associated with Eventbrite and materials. However, we are able to transfer your registration to another day.
Level 1 - New Volunteer Orientation
This is the first step toward volunteering at AAF. Volunteers will learn about our mission and history, receive a tour of our facility, and an overview of some of the programs and activities available to volunteers of all ages. There are a lot of ways you can serve with Level 1 certification.
You are welcome to continue your training and add Dog Care Orientation, if you desire. Please note that Level 2 - Dog Care Orientation is scheduled immediately after Level 1 concludes, for those who would like to complete both levels on the same day. Your confirmation email will have instructions for registering for Level 2.
