Working with Freedom Leisure and the Blackbridge CCBS the Canal & River Trust are delighted to invite residents of Podsmead for a free, fun and friendly early evening walk.
Starting and ending at the Blackbridge Community and Sports Hub, the walks will go at a gentle pace, according to the abilites of people joining us. Expect up to 90 minutes but we can make the sessions shorter depending on the needs of the group.
Led by our lovely local volunteers this is a great way to be active, meet people and connect with nature.
Whether you are walking or wheeling all are welcome on our routes around Podsmead and along the local towpath. It's all about meeting people so come along on your own, or bring a friend.
Please wear comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing and bring a bottle of water. Please let us know if you have any requirements or concerns.

Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards as an introduction to walking and are easy grade along our amazing towpaths. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways .
Children are more than welcome on foot or in buggies/prams but parents.carers are required to accompany them.
If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person a chance to take part.
