About this Event
Every year 195,000 tonnes of waste is collected by Westminster City Council, enough to fill up The Shard twice! Can we recycle our way out of this?
Find out about how best to recycle and how to reduce your waste overall. Our facilitator Maud, who has been consciously reducing her waste for the past 10 years, will share her personal journey and answer any questions you may have. To kick start your reducing rubbish journey, we will show you how to turn a piece of cloth or a scarf into a bag so you always say no to plastic bags! (No sewing needed)
Workshop includes:
- Talk about where our rubbish goes and the best recycling practices
- Talk on what is low waste living and how you can get started
- Demonstration of a low waste living kit
- Cloth bag demonstration and hands on practice.
This Event is kindly supported by Westminster City council
