Let's Talk About Death! - FREE Friday Wellbeing

“Let’s Talk About Death” workshops are friendly, down-to-earth gatherings where one of life’s biggest topics is brought out of the shadows and into warm, welcoming conversation.

These events invite people to pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea, and talk openly about death, dying, and everything in between. There’s no lecturing and no pressure—just thoughtful facilitation, open minds, and real conversations that might surprise you with how uplifting they can be.

What sets these workshops apart is their playful, creative spirit. Through art activities, music, storytelling, and even a little gentle humour, we create space to explore a topic that’s often treated as off-limits. Laughter sits comfortably alongside reflection, and curiosity replaces awkwardness. By making the conversation more human (and sometimes even fun), “Let’s Talk About Death” workshops help people feel less alone, more connected, and a little more at ease with one of the few things we all share.

Lesley-Anne Martin from Peace Out CIC will be the facilitator for this session.

This session is being held on Friday 10th April 10-11.30am, in The Place to Pause & Breathe, Bonnybridge.

These sessions are free, as they have been funded by Falkirk Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing. They are designed to support participant's overall health and wellbeing, increasing community connections and reducing loneliness. Although they are free, please only book in if you are definitely attending as numbers are limited. Peace Out is a community interest company on a mission to change the way we talk about death - and the way we do funerals. By normalising open, honest conversations about end-of-life planning, we help people feel informed rather than overwhelmed. Through community workshops, practical guidance, and advocacy, we empower individuals and families to plan funerals that are meaningful, affordable, and environmentally sustainable.
We actively promote eco-friendly options such as natural burial, helping reduce the environmental impact of traditional funerals. At the same time, we tackle funeral poverty head-on - providing advice, support, and signposting, so no one is forced into financial hardship at one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. In short, we’re creating a cultural shift: kinder conversations, greener funerals, and fairer access for all.
