Let’s Learn Stained Glass with Marc Rotman

Have you always wondered about Stained Glass? During this fun and informative class, you will get your hands on glass and learn the process of creating stained glass from start to finish, using the copper foil technique. You don’t need any experience, just enthusiasm, and a willingness to try something new. We supply everything you will need to create your project including several patterns to choose from and a selection of colored glass. We will teach you how to “cut” glass, apply the copper foil, and solder your piece together. By the end of the 3-hour class, you will have your very own creation completed and ready to take home with you.
Skill level: Beginner, no experience required.

For over 28 years, Marc Rotman has worked in the medium of Stained Glass, utilizing both the copper foil and lead techniques. Marc regularly integrates repurposed and recycled items into his original works as they bring inspiration, surprise, and a little fun into each composition. Marc enjoys working with unconventional elements, finding them both inspirational and challenging at the same time. Marc has exhibited at the Fountain City Library, The Emporium, the Big Ears Festival and the Rossini Festival, along with numerous “Makers Markets” within the East TN region. Marc also teaches stained glass in his home studio as well as in other Art Centers around the region. Marc also enjoys his association with the Arts and Culture Alliance and The Maker City organizations.
