Family Craft Workshop Ages 10+Spun Cotton Rabbits with April Wireman
Saturday, February 15 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Spun cotton is an art form that originated in 19th century Germany. Early spun cotton pieces were typically holiday ornaments made by hand wrapping cotton batting around an armature whether it be wire or a cotton pipe cleaner. Cornstarch and water mixture is what actually holds the cotton together. When dry, it’s time to paint. In this Spun Cotton 3D Rabbits class, you and your child will create vintage-inspired figures, experience new techniques, work in 3 dimensions, and spend time being creative in a group setting.
Family Craft Workshops are open to individuals and family units. This workshop welcomes ages 10+ and is a great family friendly way to create art ... together! A registered parent/guardian must attend with a registered child under the age of 15.
