About this Event

Created and hosted by Raquel's Riot with the support of The Mississauga Arts Council and The City of Mississauga, we're elated to present (LIFT). This exciting, community-focused event will proudly take place on October 5, 2025, from 12:30pm to 4:30pm at the Port Credit Legion Riverview Hall.

LIFT will showcase local talent through live performances, insightful panel discussions from female industry leaders and champions in music. It will also feature mental health wellness discussions and a talent competition for emerging female artists.

Complimentary light snacks will be provided and bevrages will be available for purchase.

Enjoy a fun filled afternnon with games and prize giveaway opportunities — all centered on celebrating and uplifting women in music.

Our Featured Guest Speakers and Performers Include:

Raquel Jaworski – Manager and Lead Vocalist of Raquel's Riot, bringing powerhouse vocals and leadership to the stage.
Krista Blondin – Acclaimed Singer, Tribute Artist, and Event Communications Professional known for her dynamic performances and industry expertise.
Mandi Galer – Visionary Sparkle Maestro, Owner and Educator at Sing Music Studio, accomplished musician and passionate advocate for music education.
Alice Tokareva – Bass Player for Raquel's Riot, independent musician, and dedicated music teacher.
Christine Awasthy – Drummer, Vocalist, and self-proclaimed "Chaos Coordinator", performing with Really Big Shiny Tunes and Karen and the Hayters.
Kristen Prince – Talented Saxophonist and Vocalist known for her soulful sound and vibrant stage presence.
John Stuart Campbell – Guitarist with Raquel's Riot and Professor of IMP310 Live Sound at Seneca College, bridging the worlds of performance and education.
Sharlene Gumbs, MSW RSW – CEO and Lead Therapist at True Ally, a compassionate leader and mental health professional dedicated to supporting others.
