Get active, connect with nature and spend quality time together as a family. This session will help the whole family learn simple wellbeing skills that support calm, confidence and connection.
No matter your age, spending time in nature, whether listening to rustling leaves or watching water flow through locks, brings a sense of peace and wellbeing that resonates deeply with us.
This connection is rooted in our development—our bodies and minds are designed to thrive in natural environments. By spending time by the canal, we reconnect with this innate bond, helping to reduce stress, lift our mood, and enhance our physical health.
Our Let’s Go Outdoor activities encourage mindfulness and presence, enriching our lives through simple, meaningful moments in nature.
Ideal for families primary school–age children (4–11) but everyone is welcome.

There is a small car park at Long Sandall Lock. There is also street parking available by the car park entrance should all the spaces be filled.

· Arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot.
· Parents and guardians are required to accompany their children during this activity.
· If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite or contact us directly. This allows other families the chance to participate.
