About this Event
This class will be held on 6 consecutive Thursdays — one ticket covers all 6 events. Each class will build on the previous one, so please plan to attend them all if possible. Topics to be covered include tackle selection, hands-on knot tying, baits and lures, where and when to find fish, various angling techniques, species identification, fishing boats, laws and etiquette for fishing in fresh and salt waters of Southwest Florida. Rods, reels, lures and other fishing equipment will be demonstrated during the class, and there will be a 70-page guidebook issued to students. The class is geared toward anglers who are new (or new to the area), but those with more fishing experience will pick up helpful tips as well. Capt. Josh might even reveal the locations of a few local hotspots!
