About this Event
About this Event
Join us for a bat walk organised by the Canal & River Trust. The evening will commence with a short talk introducing bats and their behaviour followed by a session on how to use a bat detector. We’ll then take a walk along the canal watching and listening for these fascinating creatures of the night!
Please wear warm clothing and sturdy footwear. Bat detectors will be provided.
Booking is essential. In the event of heavy rain or strong winds the event will be postponed.
This event will start from the Canal & River Trust car park on Caton Road (NB. limited parking spaces available) next door to McDonalds and we will walk along the path towards the river, up the steps onto the aqueduct and possibly also down the steps to the river Lune.
