About this Event
Celebrate the folk-art traditions featured in America 250 with a relaxed evening of metal‑tooling.
Guests can work at their own pace as and Crystal Bridges teaching artists guide simple embossing and punching techniques inspired by historic Americana craft. Choose to make one project or try both: create a decorative embossed metal ornament or plaque to commemorate America 250 or something special about your life.
As always, you’ll have a chance to create a special artwork to put inside a small frame and add to your gallery wall. This month will experiment with shimmery paints, markers, and bits of metal scrap to create lustrous scrapyard compositions.
With a welcoming, come‑and‑go atmosphere and a cash bar, Studio Socials are meant to encourage creativity, conversation, while creating something meaningful to take home.
