Join us for a bat walk organised by the Canal & River Trust. The evening will commence with a short talk introducing bats and their behaviour followed by a session on how to use a bat detector. We’ll then take a walk along the canal watching and listening for these fascinating creatures of the night!
Please wear warm clothing and sturdy footwear. Bat detectors will be provided.
Booking is essential. In the event of heavy rain or strong winds the event will be postponed.
This event will start from Litherland – car park at the end of Kirkstone Rd West, L21 0EQ and we will walk along the towpath beside Rimrose country park.

Please book one slot per person. Arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are suitable for adults and children aged seven years old and above.
Parents and guardians must accompany their children. Walk-ins will not be accepted. If you are unable to attend, kindly cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or contact us to allow others to participate.
