Society members, guests and the general public are welcome to join The Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution and Independence National Historical Park as we celebrate Let Freedom Ring®, the official national bell-ringing celebration of the original Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. This free and public ceremony includes the presentation, by the Society's Color Guard, of the standards and colors of the American Revolution, and concludes with the 2pm bell-ringing from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell "tapping" by Descendents of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence.
We are also pleased to be joined in this celebration by; Watson Highlanders Fife and Drum; members of the Orpheus Club of Philadelphia; Troopers from The First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry.
Members of the Sons of the Revolution who are interested in attending a private brunch reception before the Let Freedom Ring® Celebration event should contact the Society office for more details.
