Start your Saturday morning with creativity! Our Let’s Create series invites artists ages 8-14 to explore a new medium each week. With guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice, students will build confidence, develop new skills, and leave with their very own finished artwork.
This week we’re focusing on Painting—learning how to bring ideas to life with color. Students will explore brush techniques, layering, and color mixing to create depth and vibrancy in their work. By the end of class, they’ll complete a finished acrylic painting on a professional wrapped canvas.
Artists will explore concepts such as composition, color theory, contrast, line weight and more.
Students will be guided through their project with opportunities to customize their projects layout, colors, additional designs, and more. Each artist will be guided according to their skill level with opportunities to create a more advanced or simplified project according to their age and artistic understanding/ability.
All supplies are included—just bring your creativity! Whether you’re new to art or already love making, this is the perfect way to explore, experiment, and grow as an artist at your level.
Cancellation Policy for those that are unable to attend:
If you are unable to attend the class, your ticket for that class/event is nonrefundable. We are happy to have you transfer your ticket to a friend or family member to attend the class in your place. Unfortunately, due to payment of instructors, and limited seats, we are not able to offer refunds or a transfer into another class.
Cancellation Policy due to low enrollment of the class or instructor illness:
To run our classes CURIO needs a minimum of 4 sign-ups. If CURIO should have to cancel the class for any reason including limited enrollment registered participants are able to:
1) Move their ticket to another open class or rescheduled class
2) Receive a digital gift card
3) Get a refund. We strive to avoid cancellations but promise a fair process in unforeseen circumstances should CURIO be the one canceling!
