About this Event
What began as an act of gratitude becomes an extraordinary evening of music. Sophia Love, a student and scholarship recipient at Tara Performing Arts High School, wanted to find a way to give back – and discovered the perfect opportunity when she learned that her teacher and collaborator, virtuoso pianist Matt Witherow, had composed a new suite for harp and piano. The result is this benefit concert in support of the Tara Scholarship Fund.
The program opens with Sophia performing solo harp works from her repertoire, followed by "Lemniscations," seven original pieces for harp and piano, composed by Matt Witherow and performed here for the very first time in public.
