Leif is an American guitarist, band leader, and composer who began performing locally in Seattle as early as age 15 with numerous musical groups. At age 17, he traveled to London and immersed himself in the London ethnic jazz scene. Since then, Leif has performed with gospel choirs, grunge bands, jazz quartets and African ensembles on both sides of the Atlantic. For this show, he will be playing North African, Arabic, Turkish and gypsy flamenco music.

Our next act will showcase the mesmerizing art of belly dancing. Three talented dancers will grace the stage, performing a piece titled "Sounds of the Sahara." These seasoned performers have enthralled audiences across Seattle, including a recent appearance at Folklife. Leading the group is Rebecca, the principal dancer, who also shares her passion for belly dancing by teaching classes at the Olympic Athletic Club. David B. Metz will provide captivating music on the Arabic drum. David is a veteran of Middle Eastern music, and has years of experience creating electrifying drum solos for dancers. It's a truly unique experience – a spontaneous dance between the drummer and the dancer, filled with excitement and rapid-fire energy. Don't miss this chance to see something truly special!
