From the 24th of April until the 3rd of May next year, we will go on a lustrum tour to Austria and Slovenia with around 120 students of L.S.K.O. Collegium Musicum. In Berchtesgaden, Salzburg and Ljubljana, we will give free concerts for the local people there. The repertoire consists of a handful of carefully picked pieces: Sibelius' Symphony no. 7, Haydn's Te Deum, a number of songs by Slovene Karol Pahor and a special piece composed by our own orchestra conductor Jeppe Moulijn. He is doing this in honor of our association's 90th birthday, setting to music a poem composed especially for this anniversary by CM member Aedan Boender. This will make our concert in Leiden on the first day of our tour the world premiere of this piece.
About us
The Leiden student choir and orchestra Collegium Musicum (CM) was founded in 1936 and is one of the biggest and oldest Dutch musical student associations. This year, we are celebrating our 90th anniversary. CM consists of a choir, a chamber choir and a symphony orchestra. Led by our choir conductor Gerrit Maas and orchestra conductor Jeppe Moulijn, we perform several high-level concerts a year.
