Prepare to witness a galaxy-first event as LEGO® Star Wars: The Exhibition debuts at Melbourne Museum in May 2025!This groundbreaking collaboration combines two iconic brands, brought to life by LEGO® Certified Professional Ryan 'Brickman' McNaught.
May the Bricks Be With You
Dive into an immersive, hands-on journey through the galaxy's first LEGO® Star Wars exhibition. Over eight million LEGO® bricks will transform Melbourne Museum into a tribute to George Lucas's beloved space saga.
What soundtrack pairs best with this dreamland of LEGO® and Star Wars? Will you hum along to Luke's Theme, the franchise's iconic score, or The Imperial March during intense moments? Perhaps Parade of the Ewoks will match the playful vibe? That's a decision for you - and for Brickman, who has spent countless hours transforming plastic bricks into a galaxy far, far away.
This incredible exhibition requires over 25,000 hours of building, much of which is taking place at McNaught's Tullamarine headquarters.
Lego Star Wars: The Exhibition
What to Expect
While the full list of models remains under wraps, the centerpiece will be a life-sized LEGO® Star Wars creation - a first for the franchise. The 3-meter-tall X-Wing Red-5, made from 64,759 bricks and requiring 382 hours to build, promises to amaze. Fans can also anticipate iconic battle scenes, such as Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader, Qui-Gon Jinn vs. Darth Maul, and Emperor Palpatine flanked by his Royal Guards.
Beyond admiring these epic creations, visitors will have the chance to build their own LEGO® masterpieces.
A Galaxy of Inspiration
Following in the footsteps of Brickman's LEGO® Jurassic World exhibition, LEGO® Star Wars: The Exhibition draws from the vast Star Wars universe. From the original trilogy (1977-83) to prequels, sequels, spin-offs (Rogue One, Solo), and hit shows like The Mandalorian, Andor, and Ahsoka, the exhibition celebrates this rich sci-fi legacy.
Building these iconic scenes and characters in LEGO® form is an extraordinary challenge,â€ said McNaught. “Using millions of humble bricks to create epic-scale Star Wars builds is something the world has never seen before. My team and I are thrilled to launch this mind-blowing experience right here in Melbourne. My inner seven-year-old still can't believe it's happening.
