đź“ŁThe Lock House Museum, in collaboration with The Havre de Grace Youth Commission is proud to announce their Annual Lego Competition! This competition is open to all Harford County school district and local homeschool children

• Registration opens April 29th
• Drop off entries before June 9th
đź“ŤDrop off submissions at the Lock House Museum, 817 Conesteo Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078 Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm - 4pm or send a direct message on Facebook to schedule a drop off during off hours.
🏆 Winners will be announced on June 13th at 2:00 pm

✨THEME: This year we are requesting contestants get creative with the theme of America 250. On July 4th, 2026, our Nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our Nation's past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond. Lego builds can include anything relating to America's 250 years of amazing history.
🏆COMPETITION LEVELS:
Boatman: 4-8 Years Old
Lock Tender: 9-12 Years Old
Boat Mate: 13-17 Years Old
✨ BUILDING MATERIALS: We encourage the use of LEGO brand bricks but submissions can be made from other brick types. Design should be self-contained on a display base for easy transport and display at the Museum (example cardboard box or LEGO baseplate). Free LEGOs are available at the Lock House while supplies last.
🏆JUDGING CATEGORIES & CRITERIA:
• Judge's Choice: $25 Gift Card
• Technical / Complexity, Creativity, Relevancy to Theme Visitor's Choice: $25 Gift Card
• Visitors to the museum from May 21st through June 8th can vote for their favorite contest entry.
One submission per person. Contestants need not be present to win. By submitting an entry, you agree to your build being on display at the Lock House Museum. The Museum holds discretion on entry selection and will not include any builds deemed inappropriate. The museum does not take responsibility for broken or damaged builds. Images taken of your build may be used in social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter), website and print materials.
