👀 Kultovní, provokativní a formálně strhující veledílo Stanleyho Kubricka diváky vtahuje do světa svého hrdiny Alexe, poněkud svérázného mladíka, který se kromě ve zločinu všeho druhu, vyžívá také ve vážné hudbě. Násilí viděno očima protagonisty představuje zábavu a rozptýlení, následky hrozbu, nikoliv poučení.🥛 Když se však na film budeme dívat trochu více zeširoka, můžeme vnímat, že film otevírá také obecnější otázky. Jedná se o otázky o samotném fungování společnosti, která se snaží (ať už prostřednictvím institucí nebo individuálně) mladého člověka napravit všemi dostupnými prostředky. Je správné chtít vymýtit z člověka zlo za každou cenu? A hlavně, do jaké míry jde ještě o nápravu a v jakých případech už se jedná o čistou mstu? Snímek Mechanický pomeranč je dnes považován za nejlepší antiutopii 70. let.

👀 Immortal story of Alex, rebellious young man very fond of all kinds of crimes and classical music, nowadays has become a cult. Violence seen throughout the eyes of the protagonist represents fun, while the consequences are seen as threat, not as an opportunity to change.
🥛 However, if we take a wider look at this movie, we will soon find out that it makes us ask more general questions – about the functioning of society. It is the society who tries (with the help of the institutions or as individuals) to change the young man’s soul using all the possible means. Is it right to eradicate all the bad from human being, though? And to which extent shall we consider this treatment as correction and not only pure revenge? This movie is considered the best dystopic film produced in the seventies.
