........Batman first appeared in May 1939, in issue 27 of Detective Comics along with Commissioner James W. Gordon and the story was only six pages of the 64pg comic .
........Robin (Dick Grayson), Batman’s sidekick and crime-fighting partner (making the Dynamic Duo a team), made his appearance in Detective Comics #38, in April, 1940.
.....The first Alfred, Alfred Beagle showed up in Batman #16 April-May 1943.

Even though Batman has no superhuman powers, he has systematically worked on making himself the best that he can be, by developing his scientific knowledge, detective skills, and athletic prowess along with developing advanced technologies to modify and adapt in his Fight on Crime. His quick wit and multi-purpose adaptability give him a keen advantage in his relentless quest for Justice.
Often in action scenes in comics when the crooks gang up on him, you will see POW, SMASH, BONK, BOFF, SPLAT to describe how he has to defend himself.
......Sometimes we are asked to describe The Batman.
So here are some of his qualities and descriptions:
Intelligent. Inventive. Unrelenting. Dark, Amazing, Symbol of Hope, Dedicated, Dependable, Determined, A hero for every generation
he's Legendary , made of the stuff that some kids dream about growing up to be.
As Batman often quotes, "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me." This is his favorite lesson.
