About this Event
Come along for a journey across rivers, mountains, and mythic tales, with three vivid orchestral works that bring the natural world and imagination to life through sound.
Experience the forested landscapes, rustic dances, and majestic cities along the Moldau. Traverse the Andes Mountains and pay tribute to the spirits that inhabit them in Apu: Tone Poem for Orchestra.
Then conclude your travels with the dazzling storytelling of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. Inspired by One Thousand and One Nights, this exotic, colorful suite brings to life tales of adventure, danger, and romance, as told by the clever Scheherazade to delay her fate. With its unforgettable solos, sweeping orchestration, and dramatic flair, Scheherazade is a showcase of orchestral imagination and virtuosity.
