
About this Event
The Columbia Peace & Justice Initiative’s 4th Annual Legacy Night will honor the life and legacy of Barbara Dobbins—educator, trailblazer, and community leader—along with a panel discussion of present-day African American female principals in Maury County.
This evening will include light hors d'oeuvres, presentation of Legacy Award, panel discussion, and updates on CPJI’s current and future projects. These include completion of the Thurgood Marshall Roundabout and future projects related to Carver Smith High School and a partnership with Dr. Joe Cornelieus and Watershed Theatre. Additionally, CPJI plans to launch the Barbara Dobbins Scholarship - an annual scholarship for two local African-American students.
