On guitar or clawhammer banjo, he pushes a sound that sits between country-rock drive and classic Americana storytelling.

Based in Asheville, Lefty has been cutting his teeth across the Southeast in his own outfit with The Workin’ Men accompanying local songwriter, Elizabeth McCorvey on guitar banjo in her band—rooms ranging from The Lyric Theater in Lexington, KY to The Visulite—building a reputation for shows that lean into musicianship, character, and an unmistakable roots identity. Before settling in Asheville, Lefty spent years in Los Angeles working as an actor under his given name, appearing on national television shows including Your Worst Nightmare, The Mindy Project, and Murder Among Friends. He uses stage presence like another instrument, keeping his performances tight, and unmistakably his.
