Join Northern and Singles Society for a speedy singles event designed to help you make faster connections with like‑minded people this Valentine’s season.
Set within Leeds Train Station, this unique event blends speed dating with relaxed group conversation to help sparks fly in a friendly environment.
Any ‘matches’ on the day will receive a free Northern travel pass so you can explore your connection further and the great destinations across the North, that you can get to by train.
Although we’re calling it “Speed Dating”, the format will be more of a group social style, where we’ll create a fast‑flowing, sociable experience that encourages natural conversation without the pressure of strict timers.
What to Expect
📝 Speedy Group Rounds
You’ll rotate through the space in small groups, giving you plenty of opportunities to chat to different people at a comfortable pace… fast enough to keep things exciting, but relaxed enough to feel natural.
There will be conversation cards, quizzes and games to help get everyone chatting… trust us, it normally only takes minutes for the laughter and banter to begin!
👄 Social Time to Mingle
Between rotations, you’ll have time to wander, chat freely and approach anyone who’s caught your eye. If you’d like a little help, the host will be there to facilitate introductions.
Lots of people attend our events alone, so you’ll be in excellent company if you do decide to. We’ll be there to look after you and ensure you can make the most of the evening.
🎲 Games Table
Light games and quizzes will be available to help break the ice. Everything is completely optional but we’ll encourage you to join in with people you haven’t met yet… it's a fun way to build faster connections.
🌹 This is the perfect opportunity to meet someone special before Valentines and is there a more perfect meet cute than in a train station? We can’t wait to see you there…
Important Information
🎫 Tickets are free, they’ll go fast (as fast as the Yorkshire Flyer), and spaces are limited. If you can no longer attend, please let us know so your space can be offered to someone else.
👕 Dress Code: Wear whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable, something that feels authentically you.
