Lee Jones is a British jazz guitarist and composer whose music blends influences from modern jazz, fusion, blues, avant-garde, and rock. He has performed extensively throughout the UK and has recorded, performed, and studied alongside jazz greats including Larry Coryell, Martin Taylor, and Mike Stern.
Since graduating from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Course in 2007, Jones has released seven solo albums with former WEA producer Simon Tittley. In 2019, he completed a PhD in Music Composition at the University of Salford, Manchester.
Now based in Australia, Jones is active in live performance, recording, and music education and research. He released his latest solo guitar project, A World Away, in late 2023, and in 2025 was a finalist in the Made in New York Jazz Competition, winning the award for Best Solo Instrumentalist.
Tonight, Jones reunites with a very special quartet performance honouring some of the giants of jazz guitar, including Barney Kessel and Wes Montgomery. The band will perform a diverse repertoire drawn from classic albums such as Boss Guitar, Smokin’ at the Half Note, and Jellybeans, delivered with a soulful, blues-inflected passion throughout.
