Our honoree is Beatrice Jacquet. She is a founding member and President of the The Haitian-American Community Coalition of Southwest Florida.
The Haitian-American Community Coalition of Southwest Florida was established on August 14, 2015, when Beatrice Jacquet-Castor and two others joined together to form an organization dedicated to empowering the Haitian-American community in Southwest Florida.
Beatrice's contributions to the Lee County community are truly commendable. She has thoughtfully organized scholarships for graduating high school students, celebrated significant cultural events, assisted families with the citizenship process, as well as educating families during this current deportation crisis. Her leadership within the Democratic Women's Club further enhances her positive impact. Her dedication is truly inspiring.
#IWD2025 's theme, the "Accelerate Action" initiative is a global call to action aimed at achieving equal rights and opportunities for all, ultimately creating a feminist future where inclusivity is paramount. The World Economic Forum projects that, based on current progress, achieving full gender parity will not occur until 2158.
#IWD Colors? Purple, green and white. Purple was chosen as the official color for International Women's Day as it signifies strength, power, loyalty, justice and dignity. Additionally, ribbons with purple, green and white stripes are also used to symbolize women's equality.
The rise of women is not about the fall of men.
