At WindBorne Systems, Andrey and his team are closing critical gaps in global atmospheric data using long-duration balloons and AI-driven analysis, transforming how we understand and forecast our planet’s most complex systems.
Guided by a passion for stretching the limits of what’s physically possible, Andrey focuses on where the strict “letter” of physics diverges from our usual interpretation of its “spirit”—and how those overlooked loopholes can be exploited to push technology forward.
From his experimental physics PhD at Harvard as a Hertz Fellow to co-founding WindBorne Systems from an undergrad project at Stanford, Andrey has dedicated his career to turning bold ideas into reality through “weird engineering” and exceptional teams.
