The study of exoplanets is entering an exciting new era. Thanks to the James Webb Space Telescope, scientists are beginning to uncover the climates and weather patterns of distant worlds. From sand clouds to lightning superstorms, we’ve only just scratched the surface of what’s out there. Dr. Whiteford will explore how these discoveries are shaping our understanding of the universe—and what might lie ahead.
Dr. Niall Whiteford is an instructor at the American Museum of Natural History and an astrophysicist specializing in exoplanet research. His work focuses on analyzing data from the James Webb Space Telescope to better understand the chemistry, clouds, and formation of distant planets.
