🧠Lecture: "The Universe is a Cosmic Kitchen: A Recipe from the Stars"
🎤 Speaker: Astrophysicist, Dr. Jay White
In the earliest moments of the universe, there were only the simplest ingredients: hydrogen, helium, and expanding space. No stars or planets. No oceans, bumblebees, or guitar strings—yet. In this Lecture, astrophysicist Dr. Jay White will explore how everything changed when the universe began popping stars into existence and turned that sparse beginning into the rich cosmic “pantry” that makes life possible.
Journey into the searing hearts of stars, where basic elements are fused into more complex ones, then scattered as “cosmic seasoning” across space in stellar death. Across generations of stars, this material was gathered, reworked, and set into motion again, ultimately forming everything from ice cream and blades of grass to friends and lovers.
Dr. White will show how this grand story becomes deeply personal: we are not merely in the universe—we are made of it, assembled from stellar ingredients according to a universal recipe.
