Dr. Whiteford will highlight how current astronomical endeavors mirror the efforts of mapmakers from centuries past, charting the cosmos and aiding in our understanding of our planetary history and future as a species.
Dr. Niall Whiteford, an astrophysicist who completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh, is at the forefront of research utilizing data from the James Webb Space Telescope to study weather phenomena on alien worlds. He is also dedicated to engaging the public in the fascinating field of astronomy.
