Running from Sep. 2022 to Jun. 2023, Hallyu! The Korean Wave at the V&A was the first exhibition of its kind to celebrate and delve into the vibrant pop culture from Korea that took the world by storm since the late 1990s. Come and join the lead curator Dr. Rosalie Kim who will discuss the reasons and purposes behind the exhibition, give an overview of its contents, and share its reception and impacts in Europe and beyond.

Lecturer
Rosalie Kim is the Curator of Korean Art and Design in the Asia Department at the V&A, and the Lead Curator of the exhibition Hallyu! The Korean Wave (2022), Lustrous Surfaces: Lacquer from Asia and beyond (2017) and Contemporary Korean Ceramics (2017) at the V&A. With a background in architecture, engineering and philosophy, her interest lies in the making of contemporary Korean culture, craft and design in the digital age.
