Join Gaelan monthly or our new Learning Circle! It’s a book club with a "twist" — you’ll be stitching up new fiber skills while you read! 🧶📖Follow the weave of fiber history to strengthen your connection to your craft. Let’s create a community group made up of curious individuals who start with a question, read the available materials, and apply the skills they learn. Our first question: when did humans discover fibers, what did they do with it, and how did it shape our current world? We’ll be reading Women’s Work: The First 20,000 Years by Elizabeth Wayland Barber. While we read & discuss, we’ll learn how to use a Drop Spindle to create our own yarn. Let’s see where our learning takes us & what questions arise from our work.
Free to attend! Must purchase book and supplies at the shop. Intro the book (no need to read in advance!) and begin learning how to use a drop spindle. Signup online at the link in Tickets.
