About this Event
Have you ever wanted to create customized gifts or keepsakes for family or friends? Or maybe you’re thinking about starting a small business making vinyl decorated, sublimation printed, or laser-cut decorations for sale? In this class, we’ll dive into the process of creating SVG files using Inkscape, a free vector editing software. These SVG files can be used for a wide variety of crafting areas, including vinyl cutting, laser cutting and engraving, and sublimation printing and transfer.
Class registration includes a 4" x 6" piece of clear acrylic and the laser time required to cut and engrave your design. This can be redeemed any time during open shop hours in the two weeks after the class.
Our shop will be open after the class ends; stick around to take a tour or work on a project!
Prerequisites: This class is fairly technical, so experience with technical software is helpful. For attendees without prior experience with laser cutters or engravers, we recommend our Intro to Laser Cutting and Engraving class, which provides a background on the subject as a whole and gives hands-on experience with our laser cutter.
Note: Both in-person and hybrid registration is available for this class.
