Have you ever dreamed of writing a short story? Well, this might be the course for you! Over six workshops, we will explore the key aspects of short fiction - language, imagery, character, plot, point of view, dialogue, conflict and setting. With the aid of writing prompts, participants will have the chance to put into practice what they have learned, to write their own short story, and receive feedback in a supportive environment.Classes will be held every second Monday, 7-9 pm, beginning on Mon 27th Jan and ending Mon 7th April. (6 classes in total)

PADDY DOYLE is a poet, writer and storyteller based in Kinsale. His work has appeared in magazines such as; The Galway Review, Cork Words 2023, Skylight 47, Revival Magazine, Drawn To The Light & Kilkenny Poetry Broadsheet. He was twice winner of the 'From the Well' Short Story Competition and runner-up in both the Leslie Boland Poetry Award and the Shahidah Janjua Poetry Award. In 2021 he was awarded a Poetry Mentorship by the Munster Literature Center.
