In this class, fiber artist Darlene Curlee will cover the basics of tapestry weaving as you create your own woven project. You will start by warping a frame loom, then learn stitches and techniques to start weaving. You will complete the project by taking it off the loom, then attaching a rod/stick so you have a completed project ready to hang.The class fee ($75) includes the kit which comes with the loom, all materials and fiber needed to complete your project. You can select which color palette to work with. Each weaver will leave with a completed one-of-a-kind (approximately 4" x 9") woven wall hanging, the loom and materials to continue weaving at home.
This class is perfect for anyone wanting to get creative and enjoy a hands-on fiber experience. No experience necessary.
Minimum age is 10 years old.
