Get ready to strike a pose and slay some fierce moves in this fun, hands-on vogue dance session!Step into the world of ballroom and self-expression at our Learn to Vogue Workshop hosted by Manny Dingo.
In this welcoming and high-energy session, participants will explore the foundations of vogue—an iconic dance form rooted in LGBTQ+ history and culture. You’ll begin with a brief introduction to the history of vogue, gaining insight into its origins and cultural significance. From there, Manny will guide you through the five elements of vogue—hands performance, catwalk, duckwalk, spins and dips, and floor performance—breaking each one down in an accessible and engaging way.
Whether you’re brand new to dance or looking to expand your movement vocabulary, this workshop covers basic moves and beginner-friendly tricks to help you build confidence, creativity, and style on the floor.
Designed to be inclusive and adaptable, this workshop is open to all skill levels and abilities. Come as you are, express yourself freely, and discover the power of movement in a supportive and celebratory space.
Venue does not have automatic doors, but does not have any steps. A gender Neutral washroom is available at this venue. No food or drink except water is allowed.
This event will have music, ear plugs are recommended for those who are sensitive to loud noises.
