About this Event
This 6-hour training is designed for yoga teachers, fitness professionals, healthcare practitioners, support workers, and anyone who wants to learn how to guide a safe, effective, and deeply supportive chair yoga practice.
Chair yoga can support mobility, strength, stability, balance, confidence, and nervous system regulation for a wide range of people. It is especially helpful for seniors, people with limited mobility, people recovering from injury, larger bodies, beginners, and anyone looking for a lower-impact way to move.
In this practical training, you will learn how to create chair yoga classes that meet people where they are, while still offering a meaningful and empowering practice.
During the training, you will learn how to:
• Teach safe and effective chair yoga classes
• Create balanced and accessible sequences for different populations
• Understand key safety guidelines and contraindications
• Use props, the wall, and a second chair for added support
• Offer variations for seniors and students with mobility challenges
• Incorporate self-myofascial release for pain relief and mobility
• Create an inclusive experience for both in-person and online students
By the end of the day, you will feel more confident offering chair yoga and more prepared to support students with different needs, abilities, and comfort levels.
This training is practical, empowering, and rooted in accessibility.
