Learn to Swing Dance in One Day

We are back with our Learn to Swing Dance in One Day workshop!

Learn all the basics of lindy hop in this fun and friendly 3 hour workshop.

There will be plenty of breaks and we'll make sure no one is left behind as we get to grips with this wonderful dance from the 1930s.

Perfect for complete beginners and those looking to gain confidence and practice the basics!

Which ticket to book - this is a sociable dance and you will have time to get to know your fellow dancers throughout the day. If you book a 'Couple ticket', you will have the choice as to whether you change partners and dance with other people on the day, or stay partnered with the person you've booked with. If you book a 'Lead ticket' or 'Follow ticket' you will change partners and dance with others who have booked on as a ‘Lead’ or as a ‘Follow’.

We encourage Lead and Follow roles to be non-gendered, so please feel free to book whichever role you would like. For those booking a 'Couple Ticket'; this admits two people to the workshop; one of whom will learn to Lead and one who will learn to Follow.

What to wear - we recommend shoes with flat non-marking soles that aren't too grippy, comfortable and supportive clothing, and layers bearing in mind that it might get quite warm throughout the day.

Please do not attend this event if you are feeling unwell. Hand gel will be available and we will be encouraging all participants to use it regularly. We also encourage all participants to test for Covid-19 before attending. Feel free to wear a facemask if you choose.

Age range - this workshop is for over 18s. Under 18s may be able attend with a parent/guardian by prior arrangement.
