Learn to Sew for Beginners. 2-week Course Monday Evening 20th & 28th April

Join us for a fun 2-week course on Monday evenings, happening on 20th & 28th April. This in-person class is perfect to get you started with learning to use a Sewing Machine. Come along, meet fellow beginners, and start a new hobby!

When: Monday evenings, 20th & 28th April
Where: In person (location details provided upon booking)

Classes are a mixture of Tutor Demonstration and Practical Tasks. You'll each have use of your own Studio Sewing Machine and all the tools and equipment needed for the course, including threads and fabrics.

You'll be able to take your samples home and written handouts are given at each class.

The course is suitable for both men and woman from ages 16-90.

You'll learn how to wind a spool (bobbin), thread the sewing machine, how to sew both a straight stitch and a zig-zag stitch, how to sew in different directions, sew curves, seam a seam and different seam finishes, sew a hem, change the sewing machine presser foot and what the different feet and what they do and how to change the sewing machine needle and which needle for what.
